Jewelry Party Cupcakes

Cupcake Mania!

What did you do this weekend, Lori? Well, I'm so glad you asked! I baked, and baked, and baked, and then I baked a little more! I made TONS of cupcakes! I absolutely ADORE cupcakes. I can't even really describe it....Its like therapy for me! What can I say...it makes me happy :). This weekend, I had a few different orders for cupcakes, but I also made some just for fun! Here are a few pics of my cupcake extravaganza. I made some Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Icing, and Chocolate Chip with Chocolate Ganache Glaze! MMMMMM, they were Delish!

Happy 70th Trip Around the Sun! :)

This cake was made for a dear friend, Ed. I have worked with Ed for the last 11 years. He just hit a milestone, the big 7-0! We wanted to make a special cake for him (Red-Velvet, his FAVORITE!) with something very "Ed-like" for the theme. This man L-O-V-E-S to watch Friends. So, I gave Miss Teresa down at Baskin Robbins in Hendersonville a visit and picked up an edible image of the cast of Friends to put on Ed's cake. He loved it! :) What an honor it is for me to be able to make cakes for the all the special people in my life :). (I'm getting a little misty now...) I love you, Ed!

Blast from the past...my wedding cake.

This is actually the top tier of my wedding cake BEFORE it was assembled. I just found this picture on my computer and couldn't resist putting it on the blog. Courtney and I made each of these roses by hand. It was so much fun working on these in my mother's kitchen the night before the wedding! We had a sort of "cake baking/decorating" bachelorette party :) Good times!
